We have an exciting opportunity for 2 dynamic Electricians to join our Building & Facilities Management Team!
What You Will Do:
You will provide safe, efficient and professional installation and maintenance of Council’s electrical, data and electronic systems, ensuring they are safe and operational in line with Australian standards and legislations. You will proactively support the wider team and asset owners to ensure availability, reliability and functional capability of Council’s infrastructure and building systems.
Your day could include; co-operation with other internal/external resources to successfully complete projects and maintenance works, co-ordinate small group activities involving apprentices and contractors to deliver electrical asset works, provide technical support to all areas of Council, assist in safe and effective training of apprentices, maintain reports, planning and data management records and registers to ensure efficient management of assets and budgets and maintain effective working relationships to ensure appropriate level of communications are sustained.
Who We Are Looking For:
Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence - Electrical Fitter and Mechanic
Working knowledge and experience on various asset types
Current ACMA Registered Cabler – Type: Open, Endorsement S.
Sound knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards and legislation related to electrical work.
Licence to Perform High Risk Work – Class WP – Boom Elevated Work Platform or ability to obtain.
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and achieve performance goals in a team environment.
Current First Aid Plus Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
Demonstrated post certification experience within the electrical services industry.
Current Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Certificate.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
