Work that matters, done with people who care.
Our city is home to a diverse and vibrant community that takes pride in its surroundings. As an Engineer Civil Asset Maintenance, you help maintain and improve the roads, drainage assets, road reserves and public spaces that residents use every day. Your work supports safe, functional and well-maintained infrastructure across the city.
You work alongside experienced Engineers and supervise contractors and operational staff to deliver maintenance and renewal projects. Your day includes site inspections, assessing civil applications, preparing cost estimates, coordinating works programs, monitoring project quality, managing contracts and responding to customer and Councillor enquiries. You liaise with public authorities, investigate technical issues, prepare reports and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with relevant standards.
The results of your work are visible across the community. By identifying issues early, coordinating maintenance activities and supporting infrastructure improvements, you help reduce defects, improve public spaces and ensure residents can rely on well-maintained assets.
Our trades and maintenance teams take pride in practical work that matters. We provide a stable workplace, ongoing training and opportunities to build your skills and experience. If you are an Engineer with strong civil infrastructure knowledge, a customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes for the community, we would like to hear from you.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
a secure, permanent, full-time role with one of Australia's largest councils
an entry level salary commencing at $2,257.27 per week
