The Opportunity 
Reporting to the Associate Director Service Delivery, we now have an exciting opportunity for you to lead a diverse and high performing team that are responsible for maximising the lifespan and performance of Council’s assets (buildings, facilities, fleet, mechanical and electrical) at the lowest lifecycle cost whilst maintaining an agreed level of service to customers. 

Key to the success of the role is the provision of outstanding service outcomes via the efficient and effective planning, deployment and execution of trades and technical services. Providing an outstanding customer experience is a cornerstone of this role and a significant element of performance success, working cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally to the organisation.

About You 
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Asset Management and/or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditations and qualifications relevant to the position.

You will have significant leadership experience in the management of assets and delivery of optimised trade services. Applying full asset life cycle optimisation techniques, you will lead a service stream that provides trade and technical services over a broad range of asset types across a wide geographic area. 

You will set high standards with a commitment to and practice of a participative leadership style that supports, motivates and inspires individual, team and corporate achievements. 

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in procurement, project management and contract management, particularly for fleet plant, trades and servicing along with a solid understanding of financial management and budgetary experience.
