About the opportunity

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic and talented Finance Officers to join the team on a casual basis. Duties will include Accounts Receivable and Revenue support, as well as day to day finance tasks and ledger reconciliations, and other duties as required in the Finance team. The team is in an exciting phase with a large project starting in the next few months, and we are in need some extra support as we embark on this new stage.

Previous experience in a Local Government finance team, along with knowledge of SynergySoft and a working knowledge of Local Government rates would be highly desirable.

Position description and selection criteria

Finance Officer Position Description

• Demonstrated experience in Financial Management, including Accounts Receivable and Revenue, indirect taxes (GST, FBT, FTC) and general ledger reconciliations.
• Advanced level of IT skills - including a sound understanding of Financial Software Applications.
• Experience and proven ability providing complex financial services with minimum supervision and ability to achieve a high standard output.
• Proven practical experience in the provision of services in a Finance office environment or progress towards an appropriate diploma or tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting.
