Due to a recent internal promotion, as our Open Spaces Crew Member, you will be tasked with a wide variety of skilled labouring and plant operation duties in Young and across Hilltops. You will be multi-skilled and expected undertake the maintenance of open space areas and facilities (parks, gardens, sporting grounds, cemeteries), roadsides and public amenities.
Our Open Spaces team contribute to the aesthetics and liveability of our region, and collaboratively work to preserve our natural environment, with these skills expected to remain in great need for many years to come. As such, our ideal applicant will be self-motivated and responsible, with the appropriate training, skills, attitude to teamwork and passion for open spaces. Please note that the successful applicant may be expected to work reasonable overtime, as part of a rotating on-call roster or be available for call-back works. Shift penalties or relevant allowances would be applicable at those times.
