About the role

The role assists with the management of Local Infrastructure Contributions under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. This role will see you working as the subject matter expert for State and Local Infrastructure Contributions and is a senior member of the Local Infrastructure and Planning team. You will also be responsible for assisting employees and management to align strategic, operational and organisational objectives in designated business units.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Town Planning, Engineering or related field OR demonstrated extensive contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in Strategic Planning, in particular Development Contributions and/or Infrastructure Planning.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation relating to local infrastructure contributions including relevant parts of EPA Act 1979 and Local Government Act.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and report on proposed projects, policies, and legislative changes in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of legislative changes, industry standards, CCC policies and best practice.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing technical expertise, coaching and advice to relevant staff to allow them to effectively undertake their responsibilities and duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence, persuade or negotiate outcomes that add value to the organisation.
  • Proven ability to assess and interpret information to formulate recommendations and provide specialist advice to enable the organisation to achieve quality outcomes.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $99,712 - $119,622 plus 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a Permanent role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week ($10,780 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles. 

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
