Project Support Officer (PMO) (temporary for 11 months) - V26/10092

We are looking for a Project Support Officer to work in our Project Management Office which is responsible for strategic and governance oversight of projects delivered as part of Council’s Asset Work Program. This role requires someone with a good understanding of project management and strong communication, customer service, organisation and analytical skills. The role includes working as part of a team and with internal stakeholders to monitor project status, prepare updates and presentations, and support initiatives to improve internal practices. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in expanding on your existing skills or building new skills in a supportive team environment.
This role will support:
• Planning, tracking, monitoring and progress reporting of capital projects through use of communication skills, data analytics, a project management system and other relevant software programs (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Improved project management capability and project delivery across the organisation through a knowledge of the principles of project management and an ability to integrate this with council’s strategic direction.
• The implementation of Council’s Project Management and Governance Framework.
The team operates in a high paced environment with a strong focus on customer service. We work to tight internal governance and grant reporting deadlines, so you will also need a demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise competing tasks
This is a temporary position, with the possibility of permanency.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $92,709 gross per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
