We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents.
The role
CBCity has an exciting opportunity to join our City Strategy and Design unit as a Strategic Planner. In this role, you will assess applicant-submitted planning proposals, prepare and progress Council initiated planning proposals, prepare site-specific and city and town centre Development Control Plans and prepare Planning Agreements associated with planning proposals.
You will also review State Significant Development and Infrastructure proposals, communication with internal and external stakeholders, management of specialist consultants for advice, and preparing advice to Council and its Local Planning Panel.
This is a great opportunity for a DA planner seeking to gain valuable experience in strategic town planning as part of a change in direction in their career or a recent town planning graduate looking to immerse themselves in a role working on a range of dynamic and challenging projects.

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $90,858 (Grade G, Step 1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
