As Manager Engineering and Assets, you'll lead the strategy, planning and delivery of the infrastructure that keeps our community connected, thriving and prepared for tomorrow.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic management of Council's engineering and infrastructure assets across their entire lifecycle—from long-term asset planning and renewal programs to major capital projects and new infrastructure delivery. You'll provide expert engineering leadership, turning ideas into practical solutions through concept development, detailed design, procurement, construction and project delivery.
Working collaboratively across Council, with industry partners and the wider community, you'll ensure our infrastructure is planned, delivered and maintained sustainably to meet the needs of today while preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.
More than a technical expert, you'll inspire and empower a high-performing team, foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement, and play a key role in delivering infrastructure that enhances the liveability, resilience and prosperity of the Hinchinbrook region.

You will have a proven track record in engineering, infrastructure asset management and capital works delivery, together with the ability to build strong relationships across Council, industry, government agencies and the community.
A collaborative and solutions-focused professional, you will be passionate about delivering sustainable infrastructure outcomes, driving continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams that reflect Council's values and commitment to service excellence.
