Team Leader Bridges

Are you an experienced civil construction leader with a passion for bridge maintenance and infrastructure?

MidCoast Council is seeking a Team Leader Bridges to lead the delivery of bridge construction, maintenance and rehabilitation works across our transport network. Based in Gloucester, you'll supervise a skilled crew, coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine technical expertise with people leadership, working closely with planners, coordinators and contractors to deliver essential infrastructure that supports our communities.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and supervise bridge construction and maintenance crews across a variety of projects.
• Coordinate labour, plant and materials to deliver works safely, on time and within budget.
• Ensure works comply with engineering specifications, environmental requirements, WHS obligations and quality standards.
• Mentor and support staff through coaching, performance management and day-to-day leadership.
• Promote a strong safety culture through site inspections, incident investigations and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

You will be an experienced civil construction professional with strong leadership skills and practical knowledge of bridge maintenance and construction.

You'll also bring:

• Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent experience).
• Experience leading crews delivering bridge, road or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of bridge construction and maintenance practices.
• Experience managing work programs, budgets and resources.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current Traffic Control qualifications.
• Current Class C Driver Licence.

Salary: Commencing salary circa $68,500 - $75,400p.a. plus superannuation. (dependent on skills and experience)
Location: This position will be based at our Gloucester Depot at 5 Oak Street, Gloucester. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
