CasualTrades Assistant

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Trades Assistant to support Council's trades, maintenance and operational teams. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in keeping things organised and is happy to pitch in wherever needed to support the day-to-day operations of Council. As a Trades Assistant, you'll provide general labouring and workshop support to trade and maintenance staff, helping ensure equipment, tools, materials and work areas are kept safe, clean and organised.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist trades and maintenance staff with general labouring tasks
• Support mechanical and maintenance activities
• Handle, organise and transport equipment, tools and materials
• Maintain clean, safe and organised workshops and depot facilities
• Clean and organise sheds, workshops and storage areas
• Remove unwanted rubbish and materials from work areas
• Undertake other duties consistent with your skills, training and competence
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical capacity to undertake manual labour
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
• Demonstrated work history
