The Role
An exciting opportunity exists in the Works unit for a Pits and Drains Operator to join their team. This role contributes to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the City of Greater Bendigo by cleaning, jetting and removing root/debris and other materials from our drainage infrastructure.
This position works a 9-day fortnight (fortnightly RDO) with hours between 7:00am - 4:00pm with the option of overtime available including Saturdays and public holidays.
The role is based at the City's Depot in Adam Street, Golden Square to service the City of Greater Bendigo area.
About You
The successful candidate will have the ability to competently and safely operate a BUCHER Combination Unit in High-Pressure Jetting and vacuum suction.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work cooperatively and cohesively in a team and work autonomously under minimum direction are essential for this role.'
Certificate in the following: (MSMSS00019) Operate a Drain cleaning system and (MSMSS00021) Operate a Hydro Excavation system is desirable.
A satisfactory police records check and a current driver’s licence with Heavy Rigid (HR) endorsement are required for this position.
